New year greetings to all. Each issue of our in-house news letter ‘SPARKLES’ is a milestone that marks our growth, unfolds our imaginations, and gives life to our thoughts and aspirations. Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all. Each day when I walk the school aisle, I hear the chatter of eager minds, the excitement from the victorious Judeans, the thump of dance feet and the sound of melodious voice harmonizing; I think with a different perspective, how I can allow my Judeans to relish their childhood while they value individualism and try to inculcate creativity, innovation and confidence. It is natural to find in the Judean ambiance, the intensive use of a variety of thinking activities, strategies and group dynamics so that the classrooms become alive. We at St. Jude’s believe that Children must be taught how to think, not what to think,” and to enable this, our motto of Knowledge, Imagination and Innovation is encouraged through a holistic approach. “To motivate the weak, to address the average and challenge the gifted” is the teaching vision of our school. There are challenges ahead of us, however, keeping in mind our school catchphrase: ‘Goodness before Greatness’ will surely make a great difference we are certain that through the diligence, devotion and dedication of the management, staff, parents and students the school will reach greater heights.
